Bima Wear, operating since 1969 from Nguiu, was established with the guidance of Sister Eucharia from Bathurst Island Catholic Mission. A Federal Government grant was recieved by Bima Wear and a purpose built workshop was completed in 1978. Fred Chaney travelled to Bathurst Island to officially open the new Bima Wear building. More coming soon..
Hello, I am the proud owner of a t-shirt and sundress from Bima Wear, purchasd during a trip to Darwin with my husband back in 1989…..and I’m still wearing them, although the t-shirt is starting to wear out! I have always loved the bold and colourful prints and recently started to wonder if there was any chance of re-discovering Bima Wear. Luckily, I could still read the name on the faded tag and I googled you today. How wonderful that you are starting a web site with e-commerce. Wishing you all the best and I shall stay tuned as an eager customer.
Sincerely,
Lorraine, from Ottawa, Canada
